Arronbeth Celebrates Ofsted Result

Updated: Jul 30, 2018

Our team and young people at Arronbeth have been recognised as good in all areas in our recently published Ofsted report.

The report was highly complementary towards the hard work of the staff team, management and for the individualised care that Arronbeth provides each day for the progress of our young people.

Some of the comments included in the report highlight:

  • The young people, when discussing the home, say that it feels homely and that it is a nice place to live. Young people make good use of communal living areas and they like spending time with the staff and each other. The young people say that they feel supported by the adults around them … [and] that they feel safe and have a trusting adult that they can confide in.

  • One young person commented, ‘They are fighting to get me back into mainstream school.’

  • New members of staff have brought a high level of motivation and enthusiasm. This has had a positive impact for the young people … [t]he staff team demonstrates a very good understanding of each of the young people’s likes, and together they design structured, well-planned activities.

  • The manager has demonstrated commitment to care for the young people … [o]ne young person has a history of being missing and at risk of exploitation. This has not been an issue since admission to the home.

  • Collaborative working with a range of professionals demonstrates that the staff team understands the importance of following ‘Working Together’ protocols. One professional commented, ‘If it wasn’t for the staff we would have lost [name]. I thought we were going to have to look for a placement out of area to safeguard [name]. Thankfully this placement has prevented that happening.’

John Binks, the Managing Director of Arronbeth, comments on the report with praise and thanks to the team:

“As Arronbeth is now celebrating 18 years of care we are very proud of the excellent level of care we provide on a daily basis. The outcome of this report is a true reflection of this ongoing commitment, dedication and genuine care that the fantastic staff team bring to the home every day. The report clearly highlights the continuous progress and development of the home as we seek to provide the very best care and help each of our young people to achieve and reach their own very best potential.”
